This laptop is very much the Rolls Royce option of MacBooks, and may be overkill for a lot of people’s needs. You’ll also benefit from the most beautiful, super-high res screen, and up to a whopping 8TB of storage. You’ll doubtless get less than that doing intense work in AutoCAD, but it’s a surety that you’ll get through a professional day without having to recharge. The MacBook Pro also offers up to 17 hours of battery life: the longest of any Mac ever. Note also that you can run iOS here as well, so you can open up the AutoCAD mobile app if that helps your workflow. In our review, we found that it was more than capable of running both AutoCAD and resource-hungry 3D modelling software like Maya, 3DS Max, and Fusion 360 with ease. I tried Boolean/Add, but it doesn't see the problem and treats it as a single solid.Running macOS Big Sur on Apple’s proprietary eight-core M1 Pro or Max chip, with up to 64GB RAM, this is the most powerful laptop Apple has ever created. Similar to problem 2, it fills in the hole, and treats the model as a unified solid, but pushing puling on the face it's still a separate body. I tried " remove face" and it just screws up the model.ģ) when you do manage to have it remove a feature, like the hole on the left/top, it doesn't really remove it. the new one errors out very easily with "parasolid kernel error" or it just says "could not complete body creation or feature removal "Ģ) in cases where 2020 couldn't remove a feature, you could push/pull on your step/face until it matched an adjacent surface in height and the step would disappear, on 2022 it leaves the dividing line between the features and treats it as 2 separate faces. Manipulating the solid is a lot harder and infinitely more frustrating.ġ) on the old mastercam you would remove a feature pretty easily and have it fill in the hole, the step, etc. that "2022 was basically the same", it's not. I've used 2020 for quite sometime and have pretty good luck with it.
